Abstract: Retired race car driver Richard Berry's massive mansion in Evergreen, Colorado, has its own jaw-dropping car garage.

The 50,275 square foot mountain home was built in 2004 and sits on 75 acres of land west of Denver.

Known as 'Thunder Ridge', this property is listed at $24,799,000 and has attracted considerable attention.

It was recently listed as one of the most sought-after homes in the country.

But Thunder Ridge didn't exactly start the market's engine in 2019, when it was listed at $19,999,000.

Its current listing price has increased by $4.8 million, which listing agent Sean Endsley of LIV Sotheby's International Realty attributes to Denver's vibrant real estate market.

Another factor in the area's buoyant market: the epidemic-driven migration from urban to rural communities, where many buyers are prioritising size and breathing space over big-city perks.

The six-bedroom main house spans 22,864 square feet and offers a plethora of luxury amenities including nine fireplaces, a built-in aquarium, a huge master suite with built-in beds and a spectacular 27,000 square foot garage.

Those who have expressed interest in the property range from royalty to other car enthusiasts.

For the car nut with the means, this hangar has it all: sleeping areas, an office, bathrooms, a mechanic's workshop, and arena-level speakers and lighting.

However, if a buyer doesn't really care about storing a fleet of cars, there are other possibilities.

The flexibility of this space will make the house a big seller, and this hangar already houses up to 110 cars.

It could be used as a sports facility or an equestrian facility.

This hilltop property also features a wine cellar, beauty salon and home cinema with stadium seating.

The home theatre was a $2 million investment and when it was built it was the loudest theatre on the planet.

It has a Star Trek theme but it is modular so you could easily turn it into a Rocky, Indiana Jones or Fight Club' theme.

The pool area has a stunning indoor waterfall and an entertainment system which is landscaped with mummified or dehydrated palm trees and has a real celestial feature.

On the ceiling you can see constellations and shooting stars when the sky is presented as a night sky.

There are also six large garage doors leading to the pool, which you can open up to make it an outdoor pool.
