Abstract: Purchased for just $1.2 million in 2005, the castle had been listed for a whopping $14.75 million in 2014. Last year, the price was slashed by $2 million.

That was more efficient, according to Diane Mitchell, listing agent for Wright Bros. of Nyack, N.Y. This way is more efficient, says Diane Mitchell, listing agent for the real estate company.

The auction process can reach a wide range of targeted, qualified buyers - it's a unique property, sort of like fine art, that goes to auction all the time,.

Indeed, the giant mansion is fit for royalty, which means the potential pool of bidders and buyers could be quite limited.

The property has six bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and 12,590 square feet of living space with a minimum bid of $6.5 million.

The mansion, once known as Tideman Castle, is owned by John and Julia Tideman (who are distant relatives of Jett) and has 700 feet of Greenwood Lake frontage.

The property is about an hour's drive from Manhattan.

There's all kinds of fun to be had here, from boating on the lake, splashing around in the infinity pool, playing pool in the game room, and working out in the home gym.

The 4-acre lot includes a lagoon, boat storage, dock, pool, gardens, waterfall and even a replica of the Statue of Liberty.

Don't forget the office, wet bar, sunroom, formal dining space and guesthouse with observation tower.

If you're ready to place a bid on this palatial property, the auction will be overseen by Paramount Realty USA.

The deadline for bids is December 15.
